did you know that cultural coaching can improve...
STUDY ABROAD TRANSFORMATION
-
Learning in a different culture provides students with transformative experiences, challenging their existing norms and broadening their perspectives (Ellwood, 2011).
EMPLOYEE RETENTION & WORK CULTURE
-
Enhanced Cultural Intelligence can lead to increased customer satisfaction, higher rate of promotion, fewer instances of team conflict (Cultural Intelligence, culturalq.com).
LONGEVITY IN GLOBAL ASSIGNMENTS
-
16-40% of American expatriates in developed nations return home early, and nearly 70% in developing nations do the same.
-
Key reasons for early returns include personal adjustment difficulties for the employee and their spouse, lack of training and support during assignments, and insufficient reintegration support upon return.

“And even if we do attempt to understand others, by understanding ourselves in cultural terms we are less likely to behave in unconsciously ethnocentric ways.”

about our team
Abbi-Storm McCann, PhD, and Megan Elliott, MS, are united by a passion for connecting with students and professionals, helping them explore new cultures. Having worked together in global education, they spent years building relationships and guiding students through the process of finding the right programs and internships. Their dream of educating people—both students and professionals—was born from these experiences, especially as they noticed how many move abroad without fully exploring or preparing for life outside the United States. Certified in Culture Bump and Cultural Intelligence, they have created Tapestry to provide the tools and guidance needed for meaningful cultural interactions, empowering individuals to thrive in new environments and make the most of their experiences.
